Fundraiser kicks off new fund for women

The Every Woman Empowered silent auction fundraiser is taking place in a few days in Edmonton, launching a new organization to help women.

The Every Woman Empowered Fund will provide help to women with addictions, abused women, single mothers and Aboriginal women. The goal of this event is to raise $10,000.

The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception with drinks and appetizers, wine and cheese. The main event of the night will be the media launch of the Every Woman Empowered Fund and ribbon cutting by founder Shawna J. Serniak. There is set to be a silent auction, a raffle, 50/50 draw and live entertainment. Guests can also enjoy watching a live painting and then place bids to win it.
All attending will receive swag bags no doubt filled with promotional items and coupons from events sponsors, and a cash bar is available too.

When sponsors of Edmonton events want promotional products, they will usually contact their local printing company for help. These can include items such as pens, fridge magnets and printed T-shirts.

The silent auction fundraiser will be held at the Edmonton Community Foundation this Friday, June 1 from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Admission is free but donations are gladly accepted. Call 780-953-3184 to learn more about this event or the Every Woman Empowered Fund.
