Fundraiser to help to improve medical care for children

The 15th annual Small and Mighty Celebration is taking place next month in Edmonton. It is a fundraiser for the Stollery Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Services.

The theme for this year will be ‘Winter Wonderland’ and the decorations will reflect that. The Master of Ceremonies will be JT (James Taylor). The evening will include cocktails, dinner and dancing. There will also be silent and live auctions and a performance by magician Sheldon Casavant. Guests will also have to opportunity to meet some of the children who have been treated by Stollery Children’s Hospital. In addition, there will be a candle lighting for the children and speeches from special guests.

During the evening, there will also be children’s entertainment, face painting, balloon artists and temporary airbrush tattoos.

The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation hosts several public events each year to raise funds. The Child Life Services department provides programs and support for young patients and their families. This includes education about their illness, teen group programs, and necessary therapy.

Organizations will often contact Edmonton printing companies to order printed invitations that encourage people to attend charity events.

The Small and Mighty Celebration will be held at the Mirage Banquet Hall on April 28 from 4:00 to 11:00 pm. Tickets are $55 each or $500 for a table of 10. Contact Amy Andrews at 780-721-6877 to learn more.
