Frostival time in Leduc

January 23, 2017 by

It’s almost time for Frostival in Leduc, and once again, the community will be hosting an assortment of activities to mark the occasion.

The event, which is being offered to the public free of charge, will include a variety of outdoor and indoor games and much more. Those who come out can enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride, pond skating, outdoor milk-jug curling, pond hockey and ringette, and a 3- or 5-kilometer Moustache Dash.

When it’s time to go indoors and warm up cold fingers and toes, the public can sip hot chocolate, visit the petting zoo, take part in the child and adult craft stations, browse through the displays at the art show and demonstration, have their faces painted and meet Miss Black Gold Rodeo. The organizers have planned for it to be a day of family-friendly activities that offers something to everyone, no matter their age. Specially designed themed banners and other decorations can be used to add to the overall festive air of a community-based celebration such as this.

All of this will be taking place from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at Alexandra Parks and the Leduc Civic Centre. There is no charge to take part, and additional details and a listing of other activities that have been planned for the area can be found on Leduc’s website.
