Festival will warm up Hamilton nights this summer

The 41st annual Festival of Friends is taking place next month in Hamilton for three days. It is a presentation of Creative Arts Inc.

The festival boasts three stages for live music. Performers for this year will be announced on July 3.

As in past years, it will feature both local and regional musician, but all will be Canadian. A different genre of music will be presented each night, with a day devoted to each of rock, classic rock and country. To enjoy the music fully, guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.

In addition to music, there will be a midway with rides and games for people of all ages. Younger guests can enjoy pony rides, bouncy castles and face painting.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of arts and crafts, no doubt including handmade jewelry and clothing. Other local vendors will be selling food and general merchandise.
Hamilton flyer printing firms are often asked to help advertise annual events such as this one, and can assist in letting people know what is happening.

The Festival of Friends will be held at Gage Park from August 3 to 5 until 11:00 PM each night. Admission is free and parking is $10. Call 905-541-3834 for the most current information.
