The Winterful Waterfront Festival is taking place on the first weekend of next month. Events will be held at various venues along the Halifax Waterfront.

There will be a variety of activities taking place over the two days that should appeal to the entire family. Wood fire pits allow guests to warm up, food and drink is available for purchase and musical entertainment can be enjoyed. The Halifax Cycling Coalition will be providing bike maintenance for free, various sports mascots will make guest appearances and there will be free clam chowder samples. In addition, games such as Giant Connect 4, Jenga and hockey will take place, as well as, winter yoga (snowga), a snowshoeing demonstration and an obstacle race.

Other activities will include a fake snowball battle, a Lunar Year celebration to be held at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, and demonstrations from vendors. Vendors will be on hand to sell arts and crafts and general merchandise. Many other family-friendly activities are also planned for the weekend.

This event will likely attract visitors from all over Dartmouth and Halifax. To help spread the word, local stationery printers often provide marketing materials such as posters and flyers.

The Winterful Waterfront Weekend festival will be held from February 2 to 3 at the Halifax Waterfront. Admission is free of charge. For the most current information, visit the Facebook event page.
