Festival to celebrate popular collectors’ items

The 3rd annual Collector Fest is taking place next month in Calgary. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Wood’s Homes Charity.

The festival is a celebration of pop culture and the items produced to advertise popular movies and video games. It will also feature displays of many of the toys that will bring back a dose of nostalgia to those in attendance.

There will be a number of vendors on hand who will be selling a variety of items that will be of interest to collectors. Artists will also be selling their unique works.

There will also be several workshops taking place that will be presented by crafting experts. They will be suitable for all ages and all skill levels and participants will learn how to make their own custom toys and action figures, as well as accessories such as buttons. In addition, there will be a retro video game play area and a video game tournament.

Calgary print shops are often asked to provide flyers, brochures and posters to help spread the word about events such as this.

The Collector Fest will be held at the Chinese Cultural Centre on October 20 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Tickets are $5 or free for children aged 12 and under. Visit the event website to learn more.
