Festival to bring the community together

April 3, 2018 by

The Ladner May Days Fair is taking place for three days next month in Delta. It has been held annually since 1896.

The theme of this year’s fair is ‘Under the Sea’. There will be many family-friendly events taking place over the three-day festival that are sure to please the entire family. There will be a fastball tournament, carnival rides and games (including ‘Toonie’ kids’ rides), musical entertainment from local bands and a beer garden for the adults.

There will also be a vendor market featuring arts and crafts and general merchandise vendors. Spaces measuring 10 x 10 feet are still available with fees of $65, or $80 to be located in the May Craft Fair tent.

The major event of the fair is sure to be the parade to be held on Sunday from 12:00 noon starting at Ladner Village. The day will start off with a pancake breakfast. The parade will feature floats, school groups, local businesses and dance teams; all participants will be judged. Groups or individuals can still sign up for the parade until May 15.

Organizers may ask a Delta poster printing company to provide a poster to advertise the fair in the community.

The Ladner May Days Fair will be held from May 25 to 27 at Memorial Park. Visit the official website for the most current information.
