Festival showcases art and music in London

The Home County Music and Art Festival is taking place next month in London for three days.

The event will feature some of the most well-known musical artists in Canada. Appearing at this year’s festival will be the Jim Cuddy Band, Rose Cousins, Harrow Fair, Dan Stacey and the Black Swans, and many other musical acts.

The festival also has a juried arts and crafts show that showcases local artisans. They will be selling such items as handmade jewelry, fine art, textiles and pottery. There will also be a craft demonstration area where the artisans will display their artistic skills.

There will also be a Second Avenue vendors section, separate from the arts and crafts. This will feature local small businesses and entrepreneurs. In addition, there will be more than 30 food vendors on hand.

There will be a family area with activities suitable for all ages including games and art activities. There will also be a Home County Raffle; the winner will be drawn on July 22 at 8:00 PM at the Bandshell.

London flyer printing firms often provide advertising materials to festivals like this one to help spread the word.

The Home County Music and Art Festival will be held at Victoria Park from July 20 to 22. Admission is free but a donation would be appreciated. Call 519-645-2845 for the latest information.
