Vegfest London is taking place in the city this month. It is held in recognition of World Vegan Month and is presented by Forest City.

There are expected to be over 100 vendors on hand who will be selling food products, health and wellness items, and vegan-related goods. There will also be local organizations such as animal rescue teams on hand to provide information about their programs and services.

The event will be emceed by Rose Cora and is set to feature several speakers. Some of the topics will include raising vegan children and the link between nutrition and mental health. The speakers will include Dreena Burton and Dr. Linda Plowright.

There are also set to be cooking demonstrations from Chef Doug McNish, a photo booth and a children’s activity area. Kids will be kept entertained by face painting, a reading by Rob Laidlaw, and an edible art activity.

This event will no doubt attract those in the vegan and vegetarian community, as well as those from London who are interested in exploring healthier eating. Flyers and brochures will likely be distributed in the community to help raise interest.

Vegfest London will be held at the Western Fair District on November 12 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Admission is free of charge and the first 500 people will receive a free swag bag. Call 519-859-2160 for more information.
