Festival features top musical talent

The 9th annual Grickle Grass Festival is taking place in London late next month. It is a fundraiser for the London Children’s Museum and is presented by the Ontario Arts Council and the London Arts Council.

The daytime will be filled with healthy living programming aimed at children, and there will be many hands-on activities. Last year’s festival included planting a garden, cooking demonstrations with Growing Chefs and a button making activity. The museum rooms will be set up with various themes such as the forest, the arctic tundra and a mysterious cave.

Evening program is adult-oriented and is set to feature 10 bands from all over Canada as well as art displays. Some of those performing at this year’s festival are Partner, Janowski, My Father’s Son, The Never Betters, the Slow Attack Ensemble and Lal-Lal. This is the fundraising part of the festival, and tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

Organizers of this popular annual festival will likely work with a London printing services company to help advertise in the community; this may include investing in printed products such as posters and flyers.

The Grickle Grass Festival will be held at the London Children’s Museum on May 26, with evening programming will take place from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM. For the most current information, visit the official festival website.
