The 20th annual Meadowlark Nature Festival is taking place next month for five days, presented by the Okanagan Similkameen Conservation Alliance.

The festival is set to feature 77 different events, called ‘tours’ by the organizers. These tours will consist of many events held in various places in the Okanagan, including Penticton, Summerland and Osoyoos.

Among planned events is a talk by Tzeporah Berman at the Cleland Theatre on May 19 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. She will be discussing the environmental challenge. Tickets are $35 each. The same night will feature the opening reception for an exhibit of artist Dorothy Tinning at the Penticton Art Gallery beginning at 7:00 PM. Tinning will also give an artist’s talk on May 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

The Founders’ Gala is taking place on May 20 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at the Penticton Golf and County Club. It will feature dinner, live and silent auctions and a guest speaker. Tickets are $70 and attendance is restricted to adults aged 19 and over.

Other events include an art exhibit at the Penticton Museum and Archives.

Penticton printing companies are often asked to provide printed programs for events such as this.

The Meadowlark Nature Festival will take place from May 18 to 22. For the most current information, visit the official event website.
