The Polish Festival is taking place next month in North Vancouver. It is a presentation of the North Shore Polish Association Belweder.

The festival will celebrate Polish culture with music, dance and

traditional foods. This year will be extra special since this is the 100th anniversary of Polish independence. There will be plenty of activities to appeal to people of all ages.

Among those set to perform this year are the Parno Drom band, the Polonez folk dance groups and Toque Flamenco.

There will be a full children’s program at the festival that includes puppet theater performances, arts and crafts activities and games. There will also be face painting and appearances by the Balloon Lady.

Of course, there will be plenty of traditional foods to try including perogies, sausage and pastries as well as Polish beer.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell Polish-related merchandise, t-shirts and arts and crafts like handmade jewelry and paintings.

Vendors participating in events like this often invest in banner printing services from a North Vancouver to help bring more attention to their booths.

The Polish Festival will be held at the Pipe Shop Building at the Shipyards on September 9 from 1:00 to 9:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. For the most current information about this event, contact the North Shore Polish Association Belweder at 604-662-5286.
