The Baconfest YEG is taking place early next month in Edmonton.

Some of the top chefs and restaurants located in the city will be showcasing and providing samples of their best bacon dishes. So far this year’s participants include Zinc, St. Basil’s Kitchen and the Makin’ Bacon Truck. Guests will purchase tickets that will provide them with samples of the food. In addition, there will be beer and bourbon available for purchase.

The festival will be hosted by Donovan Workun and Graham Neil. As well as a wide variety of food and drink, there will also be musical entertainment provided by Four Dollar Bill, which is a Johnny Cash tribute band, and other local bands. Guests can also watch a fun Bacon-Improv performance. They can also take part in bacon trivia contests. There will also be a variety of door prizes handed out during the afternoon and evening.

Edmonton print shops are often asked to provide tickets, posters and banners to help promote public events like this.

The Baconfest YEG will be held at the St. Basil’s Cultural Centre on September 2 from 4:30 to 10:00 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults in advance or $20 at the door, $13 for seniors and $5 for youth between the ages of 7 to 13. For the most current information, visit the official event website.
