The Caribbean Days Festival is taking place on the last weekend of this month in North Vancouver. It is a presentation of the Trinidad and Tobago Cultural Society of British Columbia.

This free festival is set to feature a wide variety of Caribbean-related activities that should appeal to the entire family. There will be two parades taking place. The first will be the Multicultural Street Parade on July 28 beginning at 10:00 AM; it will feature marchers in traditional costumes and Carnival dancers. The second will be the Children’s Carnival Parade on July 29 at 1:00 PM; children are encouraged to dress in their best Carnival costumes.

The festival also features an outdoor music festival that is set to feature a wide variety of local and BC performers.

A Family Zone will feature activities like face painting, rides and games and a Caribbean dance. A beverage garden will be offering local drinks and international fare. Vendors will also be on hand to sell arts and crafts, clothing and Caribbean-related items.

North Vancouver print shops are often asked to help advertise events like this by providing items such as flyers and brochures to help spread the word.

The Caribbean Days Festival will be held at Waterfront Park from July 28 to 29. For more information about this event, call 604-515-2400.
