Event to help Coquitlam save from a rainy day

April 9, 2018 by

Harvesting rainwater is an eco-friendly option that is can also be kind to a homeowner’s wallet, and a Coquitlam event will give people a chance to add one or more installation to their property at a special price.

These water reserving devices are professionally constructed, and are being offered for the wholesale price of $55 each. This includes the tax, and cheque, cash, credit card and debit payments will all be accepted.

The water collected in one of these barrels comes off the roof of a home or other structure, and can be stored until it is needed. It can be used to water the garden, wash cars and top of swimming pools. It will have a pH that can be very beneficial to plants, and using one of these storage items has the bonus of helping to divert rainwater away from storm drains, which can lead to a decreased need for effluent to be discharged into streams during times of heavy precipitation.

Anyone who is interested in purchasing a rain barrel during the sale can preorder theirs ahead of time. They can be picked up on the day of the event, which will be held at 500 Mariner Way. Flyer printing can be used to create materials that people know when and where such events take place.

This opportunity to add an easy water conservation tool to a home landscape has been scheduled for May 5. More details can be found on the Enviroworld website.
