Evening of information planned for London parents

The first day of school can be an important transition for a child with special needs, along with his or her family, and parents and caregivers will soon be offered an evening of information in London that can make the process easier.

The two-hour long session will be hosted by the Thames Valley Children’s Centre, and it will be free to participate. Its format will include both presentations and group discussions, and anyone who feels it may be helpful to them is welcome.

The topics that will be addressed during this event will centre on the process of starting full-day kindergarten. The attendees will talk about the daily schedules often set by schools, how to maintain good relationships and communicate with a child’s educators along with the school’s support staff and administration, and also understanding the curriculum.

The workshop is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm and it will run until 8:00 pm. Any families with special needs children are welcome, and brochure printing can be used to craft handouts and other informative materials to hand out during this type of occasion.

Parents Getting Ready for School has been planned for June 5, and it will be held at 779 Base Line Road E. in London. Anyone who would like to find out more about this or any of the organizer’s other initiatives is invited to visit its website.
