Edmonton fundraiser seeks everyday heroes

October 7, 2017 by

A special event will soon be taking place in Edmonton that will offer the public a chance to enjoy an gala evening and be a superhero to local children living with a congenital heart condition.

The city’s Empire Ballroom will be hosting an event that will see superheroes from all across the city come out in support of The Little Heart Heroes Fund. Guests are asked to wear their finest hero garb, and there will be a meal served, as well as music and other entertainment.

Attendees will have time to mingle and chat, and there will be a silent auction where they can bid on a variety of prizes, ranging from items from the Edmonton Oilers and Eskimos, to the Cactus Club Café, West Jet and other contributors.

The proceeds from the evening will be used to help fund the various initiatives with which the organization is involved, including Heart Heroes Camp. This provides a fun experience for children with heart issues, and also their families. The ticket price for the night will be $150. Banners and other decorative items for a fundraiser like this can be both designed and printed by an area printing company.

This evening that will give everyone a chance to be a hero to a child who has a heart issue, will be held on October 28. More details can be found on the organizer’s profile.
