Edmonton foodie tour set to hit the streets

Edmonton foodies who are looking for a way to sample some of what their city has to offer without feeling pangs of guilt for ruining their diet may have found an ideal solution.

The Foodie Bike Tour will be hitting the city’s streets for another summer of al fresco dining. In a casual event that runs for six hours, the riders will tour the city, learning about its architecture, history, and more. It will stop at different food service establishments, chocolatiers, and breweries, sampling the offerings at each one. The tour will stop at between four to six eateries, and will be held rain or shine.

To help make the event even more fun, the organizers have arranged a special incentive; each time a participant stops at one of the businesses listed on the tour’s map, they will be given a stamp. Once they have received 60 or more, they will have their name entered into a draw for a $100 gift card. Local stationery printers will be able to design and produce the map, stamps and even the gift card for events such as these.

The program will run throughout the summer months, and the ticket price is $99 each, which includes the food and map. Additional details, including a list of participating establishments, can be found on the Foodie Bike Tour’s website.
