Edmonton breakfast in support of brain injury planned

May 15, 2017 by

June is Brain Injury Awareness Month in Edmonton, and it will kick off with a special breakfast that will bring the community together.

The function, which is being held courtesy of the sponsorship of James H. Brown and Associates, will see the community come together to show their support for those who are coping with a brain injury. Kathy Belton will be the guest speaker for the occasion, and part of the event will be dedicating to handing out two Ginny Awards.

One of the awards will be presented to a to caregiver who has gone above and beyond in their tasks, and the second will be given to an individual, community group or business that has shown a high level of support for the brain injury community. Stationery printers can be called upon to both design and then produce certificates of recognition for the recipients of an award such as this.

This will be the 26th year for this annual function, which will be held in the Chateau Louis Hotel and Conference Centre on Friday, June 2, and plenty of complementary parking is available onsite. It has been organized by the Brain Care Centre, and tickets are $50 each or $400 for a table of eight. Donations will also be gratefully accepted, and additional details about the breakfast and other activities that will take place throughout the month can be found on the Edmonton Journal website.
