EcoDairy set to host celebration of agriculture

The Abbotsford EcoDairy invites everyone to celebrate Family Day, Canada’s Agriculture Day and Valentine’s Day at the farm and discovery centre.

The LOVE Agriculture Week will be a celebration of love for family and for the environment. This special weeklong event will include a complete tour of the facility’s attractions, including:

– Hourly dairy barn tours, where children and adults can pet the cows and learn about six-minute robotic milking cycles
– Become a farmer for a day by completing farm chores
– Sample specially prepared foods
– Take your picture in the ‘Farm Fun Photo Booth’
– Complete farm crafts in the ‘Moozanine’
– Watch a short movie about ‘Vicki the Cow’ in the Avalon Theatre
– Check out the special Agriculture Week event tables
– Explore the hands-on interactive displays provided by Science World British Columbia in our Discovery Centre

Fun fact brochures, facility maps and event calendars may be provided during your visit.

LOVE Agriculture Week will be held from Saturday, February 10 to Friday, February 16, with specially discounted admission prices for the entire week. Family admission passes will receive a complimentary bag of feed for the animals in the outdoor farm exhibit. The EcoDairy is located at 1356 Sumas Way.

The EcoDairy is a non-profit society in partnership with Science World. Its mandates include the promotion of agricultural tourism and technology, providing education in dairy farming, and emphasizing opportunities for energy conservation.
