Eating disorder conference scheduled for Vancouver this fall

November 2, 2017 by

Professionals from across B.C. who work in the field of eating disorders may wish to save the date for a conference that will soon be taking place in Vancouver.

During the Eating Disorders CoP Networking and Education Days, professionals will have an opportunity to network, learn and share best practices with one another.

The guest speaker for the function will be Jacqueline Carter-Major, who has many years of experience in the psychopathology of eating disorders, and she will be sharing and discussing some of her findings in the field. Comb binding can be used to craft handouts and other material for distribution during a conference like this.

Along with the keynote speaker, there will be presentations by both individual professionals and organizations. These will range from 10 to 20 minutes in length, and the organizers noted that this will give attendees an opportunity to learn more about the different resources that exist in their local area. The registration fee has been set at $25, which will help to meet the cost of hosting the function. Travel and accommodation subsidies may be available, and these will be allocated on a lottery basis.

Thursday, November 30 and Friday, December 1 have been selected as the dates for this symposium, which will be held in Heritage Hall. Anyone who would like to register or find out more has been asked to visit the event’s listing, and the deadline to register has been set as November 10.
