Downsview fundraiser to show support through tattoos

March 30, 2018 by

It is estimated that one child in every 94 in Canada is affected by an autism spectrum disorder, and an event that will be held in the Downsview area will seek to make a difference in their lives.

North York Ink has planned a tattoo fundraiser that will see its artists offering puzzle piece tattoos that will show solidarity and support to autistic individuals and their families. Registration to participate in the event is free, and each person who receives one of these pieces of skin ink art will be able to make a contribution to the cause.

Along with this, the organizers of the occasion will be visiting local clinics to host art play dates. The pieces produced by the children will be displayed in the shop during the fundraiser, and all of the proceeds will be donated to Geneva Centre for Autism and Kerry’s Place Autism Services. Wide format printing can be used by a printer to create banners and other promotional signage for this type of community-based funding and awareness raising event.

North York Ink will be offering the public this chance to show their support for those living with autism in its shop, which is located at 5193a Yonge Street. It has been planned for Monday, April 2nd, and more information can be obtained by contacting its organizers.
