Dogs have their day in Edmonton this summer

The My Best Friend Dog Show is taking place in Edmonton next month, presented by the South Clareview Community League.

The public is invited to bring their dogs along to the show and to enter them into as many competition categories as they can. Registration is $20 per dog and $5 for each extra as well as $1 for each category entered. The categories include Fuzziest Fur, Prettiest Eyes, Drooliest Dog, Best Doggy Kisses, Handsomest Boy, Best Rescue Story, and Best Bark. The dogs will be scored out of 10 and prizes will be awarded for each category.

Approximately 132 vendors will be on hand to sell dog and pet-related items. This will likely include food, treats, toys and clothing (for both dog and owner). Tables are still available and can be rented for $50 each.

There will also be a raffle and a lotto draw. Raffle tickets to win a liquor basket are $5 each and Lotto Board tickets are $10 each.

No doubt lots of Edmonton dog owners would be interested in this event; in order to advertise, organizers often invest in flyer printing services.

The My Best Friend Dog Show will be held at South Clareview Hall on September 22 beginning at 9:00 AM. Admission is free of charge. Call 780-473-3593 for the most current information.
