Delta festival set for spring return

April 13, 2017 by

The Ladner May Days festival is taking place over three days next month in Delta.

The festival has much to offer people of all ages and interests. There will be a midway with rides and games, a parade and plenty of food and drink available for purchase. The parade, which takes place on Sunday, features the May Queen float. It concludes at Memorial Park where there is a May Pole dance and the May Queen crowning ceremony.

For the children, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, and airbrush tattoos. There will also be paddle boats, a tumbling tent and a storyteller.

Musical entertainment will be provided by artists such as Chaos Monkies, Rhythm Rush and GB Roots. In addition, there will be a craft fair, fastball tournaments, community cupcakes to enjoy and a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning hosted by the North Delta Lions Club.

Organizers may invest in pop up banners from a favorite Delta stationery printing firm to highlight various parts of the festival.

Ladner May Days will take place at Memorial Park from May 26 to 28. Admission is free. A ride ticket pass is $35 on Saturday and $30 on Sunday; rides on Friday are $2 each. For the most current information about this upcoming family-friendly event, visit the official website.
