Delta area rink to be transformed into Winter Wonderland

Delta is transforming a recreation centre into a winter wonderland this festive season.

The holidays can sometimes be a hectic time of year, and Delta families looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle will have an opportunity to lace up their skates and take to the ice in the North Delta Recreation Centre.

The facility will be hosting a Winter Wonderland Skate, and the rink will be transformed into a place of calm and sparkle, as there will be hundreds of twinkling lights and other seasonal decor. The hours for this activity will vary by the date, so anyone who is making plans to go skating is advised to check before they head out.

The event is open to everyone, and all ages are welcome. Skaters of all levels of ability can join in the fun, and when it’s time for a break, they can warm up with a steaming mug of hot chocolate while they relax and watch the other skaters.

There is no additional charge over the regular admission price for the Winter Wonderland skates. Throughout the holiday season, organisers of events like this use festive banners to welcome the public, and these can be created by a local printer using graphic design techniques.

The North Delta Recreation Centre will be hosting this event starting on December 22nd and it will continue until January 4th. The city’s website can be consulted for further details.
