Day of early fall fun planned for Whitby

July 31, 2018 by

The Brooklin neighborhood of Whitby will be biding a warm welcome to the days of fall, and an invitation has been extended to everyone to join in a day of fun.

The event will include music, food, shopping and lots of other activities. Many of the businesses on Baldwin Street will be participating, with the main celebration being planned for Grass Park.

A variety of local shops, service providers and restaurants will have sidewalk displays set up along with other specials on offers inside the business. Along with this, there will be lots of community vendors selling everything from food to flowers, hand crafts, baked goods and other products. Kids can head to the area that will have activities just for them, including a petting zoo, and live entertainers will be on hand throughout the day for the public to enjoy.

To make sure that everyone has a comfortable place to sit while they take in all the excitement, Adirondack chairs will be offered near the stage. Banners and other large-sized decorations for this sort of community event can be both designed and produced by an area printer.

Whitby’s welcome to the cool days of autumn will be taking place on September 15. More details, including information about using public transportation to get to and from the area, can be found on the Whitby website.
