Toe-tapping good time planned for New Westminster

July 31, 2017 by

New Westminster country music lovers are invited to grab their cowboy boots, Stetson hat and head to an event that will have them on the move.

Line, square and two-step dancing styles will be the order of the day during the New West Pride Hoedown. Everyone is welcome, whether they are an expert or have two left feet, and instruction will be given to anyone who needs some extra help. The planners noted that the environment is friendly and welcoming, and will be a comfortable place for those who want to learn the dance steps to the music they enjoy.

Along with the music and dance, there will be opportunities to socialize with friends old and new, and in keeping with the season, light summer refreshments will be served. Funding for the evening as been provided through the co-operation of the Century House Seniors Gay Straight Alliance and the Vancouver Foundation Neighborhood Small Grants initiative. Wide format printing can be utilized by a local printer to craft custom banners and other printed materials for an event like this.

August 9 has been selected as the date for the New West Pride Hoedown, and it will be held in Century House, which is located at 620 Eight Street. There is no charge to participate, and anyone who would like to come has been invited to visit the city’s calendar website for more information.
