Dartmouth celebrates Halloween

October 26, 2017 by

The Halloween Spooktacular is taking place this month in Dartmouth. It is presented by the Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission and MIX 96.5.

Several locations in the downtown area will be offering fun and treats for the entire family on October 28. The celebration starts off with the Family Costume Parade at 11:00am. The parade will be led by Mike Cowie and his Trumpeting Trio. Participants will gather at Ferry Terminal Park and the parade will travel down Portland Street to Victoria Avenue. At the end of the parade, the first 350 children in costume will receive treat bags that will include a blinking safety light.

There will also be a Halloween party. There will be plenty of fun activities at the party including a bouncy castle and live entertainment. Adults will not be forgotten and can compete in the costume contest. Winners will receive $50 gift certificates to downtown businesses. Furthermore, participants are encouraged to bring their pets with them.

No doubt this event will be very popular with Dartmouth families. In order to spread the word quickly and inexpensively, organizers may invest in flyer printing services from a local stationery printing company.

The Halloween Spooktacular will take place on October 28 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Admission is free of charge. For the most up-to-date information, contact the Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission at 902-466-2997.
