Craft beer celebration to return to Penticton

January 27, 2017 by

Ale lovers from Penticton are invited to participate in one of the Pacific North West’s biggest and oldest celebrations of craft beer.

Over the two days of the 2017 Fest of Ale, the public will be able to partake in an assortment of activities. There will be food, live entertainment and a selection of beers, ales and other libations from more than 50 different craft breweries to sample. Guests will each receive a specially designed souvenir glass, and items such as this can be supplied by a company that designs and prints custom drinkware.

The event is intended to both celebrate local beers and promote the area as a tourist destination, but it also serves as a fundraiser for local not-for-profit and charitable organizations. Since it was first established in 1996, it has been able to contribute $537,660 to local groups in need of financial support.

The Fest of Ale will be held in the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on April 7th and 8th. A single day admission pass has been priced at $29.00 per person, while full weekend passes have been made available for purchase at $47.00 each. Special accommodation and ticket packages have been created that start at $99.00 per couple. The festival is open to those who are age 19 and over.

Anyone who wants to find out more can do so by visiting the event’s website.
