Coquitlam workshop to explore the world of disability tax credits

July 4, 2018 by

Canada’s Disability Tax Credit has been designed to help families meet the extra expenses that can come with having a son or daughter with physical, mental, developmental or other challenge, and the process of applying for this benefit will be the topic of an upcoming Coquitlam workshop.

The session has been organized by Dyslexia BC, and will include input from Firenze Financial Services, Inc. It will provide details about the tax credit and also the Registered Disability Savings Plan options that exist for families who want to build a nest egg for their child.

Any parents who feel that this information could be helpful to them are welcome. The topics on the agenda for discussion include how to apply for the tax credit certificate and how to make the most of the tax credits it provides. The session has been scheduled to run for one and a half hours, and time has been built into the schedule for the occasion for the attendees to ask questions and network with one another. Brochure printing for this type of occasion can be supplied by an area printer.

This exploration of the disability tax credit will be offered to the public on September 10. The registration fee to be included in the activity is $5, and it will be held at 541 Clarke Road in Coquitlam.
