Coquitlam plans community building events

Residents of Coquitlam are invited to come out and get to know their neighbours a little bit better during a series of events that will be taking place throughout the months of summer.

These ‘Neighborhood Nights’ will be held once a week throughout July and August at various parks around the city. FortisBC is the Presenting Partner for these activities, and has provided financial support to the initiative.

During each of these evenings, there will be an assortment of activities for both kids and adults, and there will also be games and light refreshments served. The organizers noted that the goal of these functions is to help build connections within the community, as this can lead to heightened neighborhood safety and make the city an even better place to call home.

Each of the sessions will run for two hours and will start at 6:00 pm. Those who plan on participating are reminded that in the case of rain, the event will be cancelled. Banner printing can be used to create decorations and other items that can aid in building the festive air of an event like this.

The first Neighborhood Night has been scheduled for July 5th in Blue Mountain Park, and the final one will be held on August 23rd in Victoria Park. A full listing of the dates and locations for each of these events can be found on the city’s website.
