The International Women and Children’s Health Conference is taking place this month in Hamilton at McMaster University.

The theme of the conference is ‘Changing faces: the evolution of the female identity’.

As the title states, it is aimed at sharing research and information about the healthcare of women around the world. This will include topics such as maternal childcare and giving birth. There will be seminars and workshops led by professionals such as Dr. Laurie Elit, Dr. Suzanne Sicchia and Karen BK Chan which will discuss gender and health, cancer and several other related topics. The keynote speeches will be delivered by Dr. Beverly Chalmers and Dr. Zulfiq A. Bhutta.

Breakfast and lunch will also be served, which will give attendees the opportunity to mingle with their peers from around the world.

In addition, there will be a Community-based Organizations Fair where groups dedicated to the wellness of women and children will have the opportunity to share information about their programs and services.

No doubt many of those planning to attend this Hamilton conference will invest in a new business card printing order from their favorite printing company.

The International Women and Children’s Health Conference will be held at the David Bradley Health Science Centre on November 24 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Tickets are $20 each. Visit the website for the most current information.
