Community awards gala sells out for another year

March 22, 2018 by

The Community Awards Gala is taking place next month, and is a presentation of the Milton Chamber of Commerce.

This is an important networking event for the local business community and it has sold out early for another year. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner and the awards presentations.

The awards are open to both residents and businesses in the Milton area that have made a significant contribution to the community. Nine awards will be handed out during the evening.

The five business awards, including Business of the Year, currently have three finalists in each category and the winners will be announced at the gala. The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Anne Eadie, formerly of the United Way, David Coulter will receive the Joyce Hagevik Volunteer Award, the Honourary Community Builders award goes to Milton District Hospital Foundation, and Citizen of the Year will be awarded to Liz and Pete Lambrick.

It is likely that many Milton business leaders attending this event will bring along their premium business cards to exchange with their peers.

The Community Awards Gala will be held at the Granite Ridge Golf Club on April 13 from 6:00 to 10:30 PM. Tickets are $124.30. To find out more about the awards and if there is a waiting list, contact the Milton Chamber of Commerce at 905-878-0581.
