Cloverdale celebrates the blueberry this summer

July 31, 2014 by

The 11th annual Cloverdale Blueberry Festival is taking place in Surrey this August. It is a presentation of the Cloverdale Business Improvement Association and the Cloverdale District Chamber of Commerce.

There are a variety of activities planned for this year’s festival. This includes the Surrey Show and Shine Show, which is set to showcase antique, vintage, and customs cars. It will take place in the Legion parking lot. There will also be amusement rides, a farmers’ market, pie eating contests, and trolley rides. The Cloverdale Lions Club will be holding a pancake breakfast and a barbecue, while music will be provided by Steve “Elvis Elite” Elliot and the kids’ zone will have activities such as skateboarding demonstrations, mini golf, and face painting.

Another popular part of the festival is the Arts Festival that will be taking place at Surrey Museum Plaza. Artisans will be competing for a variety of prizes and many will be providing demonstration. Works of art will also be available for sale.

Surrey printing companies are often asked to provide marketing materials to advertise upcoming community events such as this. This often means providing booklets and posters to help spread the word.

The Cloverdale Blueberry Festival will be held at various venues in Surrey on August 16th. To learn more about the day’s events, call (604) 576-3155.
