Christmas returns to Delta this month

November 20, 2018 by

The Ladner Village Christmas Tree Festival is taking place soon. It is a presentation of the Ladner Business Association and the Port of Vancouver.

The festival offers a variety of fun activities suitable for the entire family. There will be Christmas music provided by artists such as Alex Whitaker, a gingerbread house competition for member businesses of the Ladner Business Association (the winner will be chosen by the public), gingerbread cookie decorating for the kids, and a holiday-themed coloring contest for children aged 12 and younger.

There will also be free hot chocolate for everyone and a mailbox into which kids can post letters to Santa at the North Pole. A children’s craft station will also be hosting several fun activities throughout the evening. Barbecued hot dogs will also be on sale.

The highlight of the evening event will be when Santa turns on the lights on the Christmas tree.

Organizers are still looking for volunteers to help with the running of the festival. Delta stationery printers often provide marketing materials to spread the word about events like this.

The Ladner Village Christmas Tree Festival will be held at 48th Avenue and Delta Street this Thursday, November 22 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Admission is free. For the most current information about this event, visit the Ladner Business Association’s website.
