Chilliwack workshop to offer the latest buzz on beekeeping

January 12, 2019 by

Beekeeping can provide people with fresh honey and beeswax and provide pollinators for plants. A Chilliwack course will explain just how easy keeping a beehive can be.

Those who are new to the practice of home apiculture or who are considering starting a hive of their own may want to make sure they attend “Keeping Honey Bees – An Introduction Workshop for Beginners”, which will be led by Laura Cameron-Delisle. It will provide an overview of the art of making honeybees happy and productive, and will help to build confidence beekeepers.

The class, which is intended to cover the basics, will include an introduction to the biology of bees and how they produce honey, wax and other products. Bee care, pest and disease control, feeding bees, a beekeeping calendar of chores, what to do if bees swarm and other topics will all be covered.

At the end of the workshop, the participants will all go home with their very own copy of the ‘Beekeeping Basics’ handbook. It will provide them with a wealth of information they can use to manage their own hive, and this type of item is just one of the many types of promotional products that can be produced by a professional printer.

This event, which is sure to have the whole town buzzing, will be held on February 2. It will begin at 9:00 am, and the location will be released at a later date.
