Chilliwack golf outing to raise funds for area hospice

July 4, 2018 by

The Chilliwack Hospice provides support for individuals and their families and friends during the end of life, and a special occasion will give the public a chance to help it to help others.

Anyone who would like to be a part of the day can choose to play golf or just enjoy the dinner, and the golfing option includes an opportunity to play 18 holes. Registration opens at 11:00 am, and the shotgun start is scheduled for 1:00 pm.

The tournament will see teams of four take to the green, and it will follow a scramble format. People are welcome to register on their own, and those who do will be assigned to a team. A variety of contests have been included in the day, and these include closest to the pin, longest drive, a $5,000 prize for a hole in one, and a “ hit it to win it” competition has also been planned.

The dinner, which will be served at 6:00 pm before the prizes are awarded, will have a menu that will be built around BBQ chicken. Banner printing for this type of function can be sourced from a printer in the local area.

This opportunity to help the Chilliwack Hospice help others in the community will be held on August 9th at the Chilliwack Golf Club. Its Facebook listing includes more details.
