Childhood sleep habits addressed in university seminar

A free children’s sleep seminar will be held at Brock University later this month.

Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Krista Guenther, will be presenting the basic fundamental principles needed to develop healthy sleep routines in children. Advice will be offered for preschool children beginning at the age of three, and extending up to seven.

Guenther obtained a degree from the University of Waterloo, and trained at the Family Sleep Institute. As a mother of three children, she understands the importance of sleep for both children and adults, stressing that well-rested families are usually happy and healthy.

Guenther also offers professional consultations through her Sleeperific clinic. Here, the individual needs of each family and their children are considered. Various promotional products and brochures detailing her customized services may be distributed during the event.

This free class, titled ‘From ZZZZs to As’, will be held at the David S. Howes Theatre at Brock University, this Saturday, September 30 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Registration is required as spaces are limited, but all are welcome to attend.

Parents interested in attending may preregister their children for childcare during the seminar, but kids are also welcome in the theatre. Children may be dropped off with the childcare providers as early as 9:30 AM.

The David S. Howes Theatre at Brock University is located at 500 Glenridge Avenue in St. Catharines. Free parking will be provided for this event. To register, call 905-688-5550 ext. 5533, or by email growing@brocku.ca.
