Charity events will brighten up spring in Red Deer

March 7, 2018 by

There will be two charity events taking place in the Red Deer area next month, both of which raise funds for worthwhile causes.

The first one will be the Diamonds and Denim gala, hosted by the Leadership Centre of Central Alberta and is a fundraiser for the Spinal Cord Injury Alberta. Guests will enjoy a sit-down dinner and dancing to the band Fused. There will also be a raffle for a diamond pendant. The suggested dress is casual.

Later on in the month, the Gatsby Gala will be held in nearby Lancombe, and is a fundraiser for the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre Foundation. The evening will start off with a cocktail reception and will be followed by a sit-down dinner. Musical entertainment will be provided by Flat Iron Jazz. There will also be a dance, silent auction, and appearances by some special guests.

Both of these events may be advertised by posters provided by Red Deer area printing companies.

The Diamonds and Denim Gala will be held at the Sheraton Hotel on April 13 from 6:00 to 11:00 PM. Tickets are $100 each. Call 403-340-0324 to learn more.

The Gatsby Gala will take place on April 14 from 6:00 pm to midnight at the Lacombe Memorial Centre. Tickets cost $65 until March 15 and $70 after. Tickets are also available for the dance only, which begins at 8:00 PM for $25. For more information, call 403-350-9958.
