A career development day for members of the Canadian Coast Guard and The Department of Fisheries and Oceans has been planned near Halifax, and it is open to all who are employed by these two agencies.

Your Professional Network will be partnering with Connect! to host and facilitate this day of professional development. Delegates will be able to attend an assortment of different workshops throughout the day, and there will also be panel discussions that will be led by members of senior management. A speed mentoring session is also on the agenda. The organizers noted that is has been scheduled in time to be relevant to this year’s round of performance reviews, and went on to say that it provides an excellent opportunity for career development.

This day of training and discussion is being offered on a free of charge basis, and anyone who can’t attend in person will be welcome to participate online through WebEx. It will be held in the auditorium of the Bedford Institute of Oceanography in Dartmouth. Comb binding can be used to craft handouts and other educational materials for an event like this.

Wednesday, November 22 has been chosen as the date for this event, and it will run from 8:30 until 4:00 pm. More details about this career boot camp can be found on its event listing.
