The Rock N’ Red Deer car show is taking place for two days next month in the city.

Presented by the Alberta SuperRun Association, this is a popular event that attracts approximately 15,000 visitors to the area each year.

The show is set to feature over 850 cars that will be on display over the two-day show. There will be hot rods, customs, and classics ranging from the 1950s up to the 1970s. Registered drivers will have the opportunity to participate in day cruises prior to the show and a Cruise-In on downtown city streets which will have an American Grafitti theme as well as an outdoor stage. They will also be invited to a Saturday Night Dinner of Alberta beef and will be treated to a concert by Dr. D’s Canadian Bandstand. Attendees are encouraged to wear 1950s dress.

In addition to the cars on display, there will be a Little Rodder’s Kids’ Zone with games and crafts, beer gardens and food concessions, and a hula hoop contest. Other activities include a pit stop competition. Vendors will also be on hand to sell a number of car-related items.

Red Deer printing services companies are often asked to provide plaques or banners that may be displayed on cars.

The Rock N’ Red Deer car show will be held at Westerner Park from August 4 to 5. Tickets are $10 per day or $14.44 for both days. Visit the website for the latest information.
