Canada Day celebrations in Waterloo Region will honor Canada

June 29, 2018 by

There are several Canada Day celebrations taking place in the Waterloo Region.

The Waterloo Region Museum will be having a daylong celebration. Guests can enjoy visiting the living history village and taking part in some traditional games such as croquet and horseshoes. There will also be musical entertainment. Guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or purchase a barbecued meal.

Another offering will be the 34th annual University of Waterloo Canada Day Celebration. It will feature entertainment from children’s entertainer Fred Penner and music from Sloan on the Live Music Stage. Entertainment will also be provided by local community dance and music groups. In addition, there will be a Food Truck Fair with a variety of foods and drink available for purchase and lots of family-friendly activities will be taking place in Activity World. The event will finish off with a fireworks display at 10:00 PM.

Both of these events will likely be highly advertised in the community, possibly with printed materials provided by a Waterloo printing services company.

The Waterloo Region Museum celebration will be held on Sunday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Call 519-748-1914 for more information.

The University of Waterloo Canada Day Celebration will also take place on Columbia Lake Fields on Sunday. To find out more, call 519-888-4567.
