Camrose conference to highlight opportunities in rural tourism

December 14, 2018 by

A conference highlighting the opportunities available in the rural tourism industry is set to take place in Camrose.

Rural tourism is becoming more popular, and it can provide a welcome revenue stream for those in the industry. The conference will highlight some of the opportunities that are available and also provide tips on how to make the most of them.

This will be the 18th year that the Growing Rural Tourism conference has been held, and it can be helpful to economic development officers, municipal councillors, agricultural society representatives and tourism operators with an interest in rural areas. It will run for three days, and the agenda is filled with workshops, presentations, breakout sessions, networking opportunities, awards and many other activities.

While the conference will be held during the day, the evenings will also be filled with offerings. Networking sessions along with an awards dinner, industry trade show and closing lunch have been planned, and details about the 2019 Entrepreneurial Challenge will also be shared.

An event like this can draw people from a wide area, and while they learn, delegates can meet others in the industry and share best practices and the lessons they have learned with them. Business cards will make it easy for them to share contact details with their new professional network, and these can be supplied by a printing pro.

This year’s rural tourism conference will be held at the Camrose Regional Exhibition building. It is scheduled to begin on February 11th.
