Camrose camps to make summer learning fun

For kids in Camrose, summer days usually mean no school but thanks to a program administered by the Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta, they will still have a chance to keep on learning and have fun doing so.

The university has joined forces with DiscoverE to host three different summer camps and there is one to suit almost any child or youth. They run from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm each day, and both early drop off and late pick up options are available.

The camps will focus on science, and have been named ‘Stop Motion Magic’, ‘Aquatic Discoveries’, and ‘Hogwarts: A Scientific History’. Parents or caregivers can choose the one they feel is best suited to their child’s age group, as they have each been designed for children in a particular range of grades.

The registration fee or each of the sessions is $230 for each camper, and any boy or girl who is interested is welcome. A local printing services provider can be called upon to supply camper handbooks, banners, T-shirts for the kids and staff and any other products that can make events like these even more fun.

The camps will all run from July 30 until August 3, and will be held at the University of Alberta Augustana Campus. Anyone who would like more information, or who has questions to ask the organizers, has been invited to contact them at 780-79-1100.
