Camrose calls out to basketball players

October 22, 2017 by

Well-known basketball coach Jamie Brown will be hosting a special Camrose clinic for youngsters who are interested in sharpening their game.

The sessions will be open to those who are age 11 and older, and the participants will have an opportunity to hone their shooting skills using a method of drills developed especially for National Team and NBA players.

The organizers have noted that they will be teaching the players how they can use their whole body and its mechanics to make their shots at the hoop, and pointed out that the techniques that will be taught can sometimes be overlooked in high school and collegiate athletics.

Coach Brown, who will be facilitating the clinics, explained that each youth who participates will be able to walk away with a better understanding of how they can work to become more consistent and successful when it comes to their basketball skills. Attendees are asked to wear suitable clothing and bring along their own basketball. A local stationery printing company can supply award certificates and other printed materials for an event like this that can help to ensure it is a success.

This day, which will be dedicated to building better basketball players, will be taking place at Ecole Charlie Killam School on December 2. More details about The Love of the Game program can be found on its website.
