Cambridge invited to take a walk on the wild side for animals in need

Cambridge’s African Lion Safari is hosting an event that will see the public share an evening with some of its largest residents, all in support of animals who are looking for a place to call home.

This year will mark the 17th year for the Elephant Waltz Gala, and the evening will offer something for everyone. Guests will be able to meet Asian elephants, and the will be other exotic animals on site as well.

Those who attend the function will be treated to a gourmet dinner while they enjoy music and other live entertainment. They will have an opportunity to bid on a variety of items in the live and silent auctions, and if they are lucky, they may even win a prize in one of the raffles.

The planners of the event have put out a call to any local businesses that would be interested in acting as a sponsor for the occasion. Corporate tables are available, and there are other sponsorship opportunities available. Doors will be recognized at the auction table as well as in the program for the evening. A local booklet printing will be able to include the sponsors’ logos in the printed materials it crafts for a gala like this.

The monies raised will be donated to the Cambridge and District Humane Society, and will be used by the organization to care for stray and abandoned animals and investigate cases of cruelty and neglect. The fundraiser will be held on April 21st, and more details are available on the Humane Society’s website.
