Calgary invited to party Maritime style

March 29, 2018 by

The Maritimes are well known for their kitchen parties, and Calgary’s Rodney’s Oyster House will be hosting its own version of this popular style of event.

In keeping with the tradition, all will be welcome, and there will be live entertainment on hand to keep the crowd’s toes tapping. Both appetizers and oysters will be served, and those who attend are invited to get to know one another while they dance, laugh and have a good time.

While the occasion will focus on fun, it will also serve as a fundraiser for Alberta students who are enrolled at UPEI (University of Prince Edward Island). It will help to fund scholarships and other initiatives, and the organizers noted that it distributes assistance to an average of 20 students each year. The support of former students, and the general public as well, will be appreciated. Banner printing and other print services for a festive celebration such as this can be both designed and produced by a local printer

The Western taste of Maritime style hospitality has been planned for the evening of May 5 and it will begin at 6:00 pm. Tickets are being offered for $75 each, and it will be taking place at 355 10 Avenue SW in Calgary. Anyone who would like to learn more or buy tickets for the occasion can do so through the Friends of UPEI Calgary’s Facebook page.
