Calgary invited to attend a day of fibre-filled fun

October 4, 2017 by

This October, Calgary will be the place to be for those who love to knit, crochet or sew, as well as for anyone who simply enjoys browsing through hand crafts produced by local artists.

The city will once again be the location for The Fibre Shindig, which will bring together a large number of local artisans and craftspeople, ranging from hand-dyed yarns to beads, jewelry, art, and much more. Many of the artisans will be on-site to answer questions and share tips about how their products can be used. It will be a family friendly event, and children will be welcome to come to the event along with their parents or guardians.

To make the event even more exciting, each person who purchases an entry ticket will have their name entered in a raffle draw for an assortment of prizes. The drawings will take place every hour, and the prizes will be donated by the vendors who will be taking part in the day. The ticket price will be $5 for adults, and children will be admitted free of charge. Packaging supplies for the vendors who will participate in an event like this can be supplied by an area printer.

This event, which promises both fibres and fun, will take place at 1320 5 Ave NW on October 21. More information can be found on its website.
