Calgary fundraiser to beat MS returns

The 2nd annual ‘Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is BS Bash’ returns next month with a fun-filled fundraiser in support of the search for a cure for this debilitating disease.

Tickets are 50% sold for this event, dedicated to finding a cure for the 100,000 Canadians that currently live with MS. Friends, family members and coworkers know that the effects of this disease are much more far reaching than for only those that are diagnosed with the disorder. Many people with MS struggle to find work and to continuing working as they deal with the episodic symptoms.

Symptoms of MS vary from person to person and tend to come and go randomly. The disease can cause vision problems, incapacitating pain and difficulty walking. People who attend this event and others in support of research funding, may receive brochures providing more information about the autoimmune disorder and the importance of their support.

Last year’s ‘MS is BS Bash’ raised almost $20,000 for the cause. The 2018 event will be held on Saturday February 3, starting at 6:00 PM. It will be hosted by the Atlantic Trap and Gill Pub, located at 510 Heritage Drive Southwest.

Live music will be performed by Analog Jones and The Brett Barrow Band, with the affair running until close of business at 1:00 AM. The evening will also include a 50/50 draw, with an additional chance to take home one of several great raffle prizes as well.

Tickets may be purchased from the event website, at a cost of $25 each. All ticket proceeds go to the MS Society of Canada.
