Burnaby symposium to explore careers in medicine

October 15, 2017 by

Burnaby students interested in pursuing a career in medicine are invited to attend an event that will put them face-to-face with professionals in their chosen field.

MedConect, which is a one-day symposium, will bring together anyone who would like to get a sneak peek into the world of medical careers with professionals who will be able to answer their questions, share information and give them an insider’s view of what having a career in medicine is like. It is open to both high school and university students, but the number of seats that will be available has been limited to just 180.

Those who attend the day will be able to sit in on their choice of lectures, attend a panel discussion, learn about the application process for post-secondary education, and more. They will also discover what doctors, as well as the various other medical support staff, do in the course of their daily professional duties.

The ticket price has been set at $15 each. A printer can supply a branding upgrade service to make sure any logos or other brand marks for an event like this are still current and effective.

The conference will take place on November 12 at Simon Fraser University. Anyone who would like to learn more has been asked to visit the event’s website.
